Lead Relocation Project Manager (P4) Reporting To: Sr. Director, Projects, PDS Band/Level: P4 - Management Job Summary The Lead Relocation Project Manager is a working supervisor responsible for both the direct execution of large-scale relocation projects and the day-to-day leadership of a team of Relocation Project Managers and Move Coordinators. This dual-focused role combines hands‑on project management of complex relocations (up to 8,000 + people) with supervisory responsibilities including task assignment, work quality monitoring, performance coaching, and team coordination. The position requires advanced technical knowledge of relocation management, minimum construction background and the ability to ensure team productivity while maintaining your individual project deliveries. both personal project delivery and team performance outcomes Job Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision (40-50%) Oversee a team of 3 Relocation Project Managers and/or Move Coordinators Assign tasks, delegate work, and balance workload across team members Monitor work progress and check quality at regular intervals Maintain project schedules and ensure timely delivery of team commitments Coordinate team activities to meet operational plans and budget parameters Ensure work is performed as prescribed by policies and procedures to achieve productivity, service, and quality standards Performance Management & Development: Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to direct report on performance Conduct performance reviews and support professional development planning Identify skill gaps and training needs within the team Mentor less experienced staff on complex project challenges and best practices Guide team members with constructive feedback on project deliverables Support career development and advancement of team members Resource & Workflow Coordination: Plan and forecast staffing needs for upcoming projects Allocate resources across multiple concurrent relocation projects Ensure appropriate skill matching for project assignments Coordinate with other teams and functions to secure necessary support Resolve resource conflicts and competing priorities Maintain team utilization rates and productivity metrics Problem Resolution: Serve as escalation point for team members encountering challenges Resolve operational problems based on provided guidelines and established procedures Make decisions within specific guidelines on matters of basic to moderate complexity Seek guidance from Direct senior management on more complex work assignments Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across the team Project Management & Execution (30-40%) Direct Project Delivery: Plan, manage, and execute complex relocations of 1,000-5,000+ people as a working manager Develop comprehensive relocation project plans, schedules, and budgets Lead cross‑functional project teams including IT, facilities, construction, and vendor partners Serve as primary point of contact for assigned high‑profile relocation projects Manage all aspects of relocation execution including pre‑move planning, move day coordination, and post‑move support Ensure compliance with all key performance indicators and quality standards Quality Assurance: Review and approve project plans developed by team members Monitor project execution across the team to ensure quality and consistency Conduct regular check‑ins on project status and identify risks Ensure data accuracy within move management and CAFM systems Validate that all relocation activities align with documented processes and client requirements Systems & Process Management: Maintain project files, folders, and documentation standards Ensure team compliance with project administration and reporting requirements Drive consistency in project delivery methodologies across the team Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency Client Communication & Relationship Management (10-15%) Client Interface: Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders for assigned projects Communicate project status and team capabilities to clients Lead client meetings and presentations for team projects Address client concerns and escalations professionally and promptly Ensure client satisfaction across all team‑managed relocations Represent the team in client‑facing forums and strategic discussions Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Ensure consistent vendor performance evaluation across projects Coordinate with multiple service providers on behalf of the team Review and approve vendor invoices and change orders within authority limits Administrative & Operational Management (10-15%) Budget & Financial Oversight: Monitor team project budgets and expenditures Track financial performance against targets individual projects Review and approve invoices and expenses within established limits Identify cost‑saving opportunities across team projects Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management Reporting & Documentation: Prepare team status reports and performance metrics Maintain records in compliance with confidentiality requirements Complete internal reporting and project close‑out documentation Track team hours and utilization rates Report on key performance indicators to senior management Policy & Procedure Administration: Work with Direct Manger and update existing policies and procedures Interpret and adjust policies as circumstances require Ensure team compliance with JLL and client policies Provide guidance on policy application in day‑to‑day situations Strategic Contribution & Business Development (5-10%) Support goals and priorities for new or revised services and processes Contribute to business development through client relationship maintenance Participate in proposals and presentations as needed Identify opportunities for service improvements and team capability enhancement Collaborate with senior leaders on strategic planning for the relocation function Network professionally and represent JLL at industry events Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related field Experience: 5-7 years of facility, project, or construction‑related experience in a Corporate Real Estate environment Demonstrated experience managing large, complex relocation projects (1,000+ people) Prior supervisory, team lead, or people management experience required Background in project management, construction management, or strategic planning Relevant experience in field of work with proven track record of project delivery Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency Experience with CAFM systems and move management software modules Strong understanding of architectural drawings, furniture layouts, and space planning concepts Knowledge of construction and commercial real estate industry practices Full knowledge of relocation management principles and practices Leadership & Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members Experience delegating work and monitoring performance Ability to provide constructive feedback and conduct performance
