About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night shift (6:30pm - 7:00am), every Saturday/Sunday/Monday Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; ENPC, TNCC, and/or TNS preferred Description: Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists and ancillary departments as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care and flow through the Emergency Room. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. Meets the communication needs of patients and families. Demonstrates initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Holiday coverage is required.
