Staff Accountant

This is an in-office position in need of local applicants.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant must have the ability and knowledge to meet monthly accounting deadlines, complete analysis, research variance discrepancies, and make journal entries for select Balance Sheet and P&L Accounts, in addition to understanding accruals and annual budgeting. Includes other analysis and reports as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Monthly Branch Operating Statements
• Operating accounts analyzed, and notes prepared monthly
• Actual to Budget Variance Analysis
• Balance Sheet account reconciliations and analysis
• Journal entries to record Company's activity
• Expense accruals, branch allocations and year-end adjustments
• Review for Annual Audit
• Bank Reconciliations
• Reports and projects as needed
• Assist branches with questions

Job Qualifications:

Well organized person with strong analytical, administrative, and good interpersonal skills. A person who is very dependable, and who can work independently.

Education and Experience:

Degree in accounting

A minimum of two (2) years General Accounting experience

Excel experience is extremely helpful

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows Explorer, and Internet Browser skills

Knowledge of Eclipse, BisTrack/Great Plains and Agility is helpful

A high-level of speed and accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task

Able to organize and prioritize workloads

Able to work in a team environment
