Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Cardiac Step-Down - $2,722/week

Location: Sioux Falls, SD
Facility: Avera Heart Hospital
Unit: AHH Medical Surgical Unit
Pay: $2,722/week
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Contract: 12 weeks
Start Date: September 28, 2026
End Date: December 26, 2026

Position Overview:

Quick2Hire is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU/Cardiac Step-Down for a 12-week contract at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota .

This position is ideal for an RN with strong cardiac step-down/PCU experience who is comfortable caring for higher-acuity patients and managing complex cardiac therapies.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Day/Night rotation: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule is arranged in 6-week blocks
• Split day/night shifts are expected
• Straight nights may be considered for the right candidate
• No straight-day positions available
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Straight weekend schedules may be considered

Required Experience

Candidates must have experience in Cardiac Step-Down / PCU , including the ability to manage:

• Vasoactive drips such as Nitroglycerin (Nitro), Levophed (Levo), and Neo-Synephrine
• Antiarrhythmic medications
• Cleviprex
• BiPAP
• Chest tubes
• Telemetry monitoring
• High-acuity cardiac patients

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
