About the Role:
Rader & Rader PC is looking for an experienced and detail-driven Senior Tax Accountant (CPA) to join their team in Avon, IN. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, trusts, and corporations
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio
- Research and interpret current tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Identify tax savings opportunities and minimize liabilities through proactive planning
- Contribute to the overall success of the firm and staff by promoting efficient execution throughout the engagement while cultivating positive client relationships
- Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and correspondence
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Communicate with partners, staff, and clients to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting
- Manage multiple client requests in an efficient and timely manner
Requirements:
- Active CPA license required
- 5+ years of public accounting or tax experience
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or similar), Word and Excel
- Strong knowledge of federal and Indiana state tax codes and regulations
- Demonstrate ownership of work assigned and take the initiative to complete the work assigned in a timely manner
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Display the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to clients & staff in a respectful and professional manner
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
