Teller - Float

Responsibilities Perform teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality. Examples include deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, payments, transfers, check cashing, and balancing the cash drawer. Accurately perform and support daily tasks that maintain the integrity of the branch, such as proper use of double custody when balancing the ATM, processing night drop deposits, balancing negotiable instruments, processing returned mail, balancing credit card machines, and updating lobby rate sheets and brochures. Mitigate risk by ensuring the safekeeping of money in the cash drawer and promptly accounting or transferring funds. Interact with external and internal clients, anticipate their needs, and consistently provide proactive solutions and problem resolutions in alignment with the bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards. Continuously deepen knowledge of Columbia Bank’s product and service offerings and stay current on changes. Discuss and uncover customers’ financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services. Support the branch’s referral goals by focusing on and identifying basic bank products to refer to the appropriate business partner. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, required. 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience, preferred. Bilingual, preferred. Ability to learn and comply with all bank policies, procedures, and systems. Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions. Consistently demonstrates ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and other bank associates. Location Primary Location: 23600 Hawthorne Blvd Suite B, Torrance, CA 90505. Ability to work fully onsite at the posted location(s). Pay The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. The selected candidate’s rate will be determined based on non‑discriminatory factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
