Kindly Direct Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional to provide support for two individuals in Monmouth County.

• One case is higher-acuity and requires a DSP who is experienced, dependable, and comfortable providing more hands-on support.

• The second case is higher-functioning and involves supporting the individual with daily activities and community outings.

About This Opportunity  

Case 1: Seeking a patient, companion-like DSP for a 31-year-old blind individul with limited verbal communication. He enjoys getting out in the community and is friendly and easygoing. DSP will pick him up from his day program Monday–Friday at around 2:30 PM. Experience working with individuals who are blind is preferred. Must be comfortable with 2 large dogs in the home. The assignment rate reflects the complexity and expectations of this specific case. 

Case 2: 24-year-old verbal, high-functioning individual who enjoys going to the library, bookstores, antique shops, doing crafts, taking walks, watching old movies, and going to the gym. Looking for a patient, reliable DSP who is comfortable supporting behavioral needs, including OCD, yelling, self-harm, and occasional behaviors that may pose a risk to others.

Responsibilities May Include  

• Provide close one-to-one supervision and safety monitoring. 

• Provide support as required. 

• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, health, and safety protocols within DSP scope and training. 

• Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence. 

• Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly. 

• Recognize and promptly report changes in health, behavior, functioning, or safety. 

• Respond appropriately to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures. 

• Maintain accurate service documentation and dependable communication with the care team. 

Qualifications  

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role PREFERRED. 

• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols. 

• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening. 

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment. 

• Driving required. 

• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently. 

Schedule:

Case 1: Sundays 11:00AM - 3:00PM & Monday - Friday 2:30PM- 6:00PM
Case 2: Any 3 days a week 11:00AM-2:00PM.

Pay: 22 - 24/hr.
