Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 10-hour shifts with on-call rotation (approximately 1 day per week and every 4–6 weekends)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and operating room duties as assigned according to established policies and procedures to assist the surgeon and other healthcare team members in providing effective surgical care
• Scrub for a high volume of cases across specialties including Orthopedics, ENT (pediatric and adult), Plastics, General Surgery, and some Trauma
• Utilize orthopedic implant systems including Zimmer, DePuy, Biomet, and Stryker total replacement systems
• Support robotic-assisted surgical procedures as needed
• Provide coverage for cases outside of primary specialty when on call or during off shifts
• May float to other campus locations within the Fargo area as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Strong proficiency in General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery
• Experience working in a large, busy acute care facility with 15 or more OR suites
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Experience with robotic surgical systems required
• Experience with at least one of the following implant systems: Zimmer, DePuy, Biomet, or Stryker
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must be listed on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry at least one week prior to start date; proof of application initiation must be provided within 3 business days of offer acceptance
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing pediatric ENT cases
• Familiarity with high-volume OR environments averaging 75–100 cases per day
• Comfort with assigned call rotations and adaptability to cover varied surgical specialties
