Our company (Greenyard Logistics USA, Inc.) is looking for a Cold Storage Machine Operator. This role is under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

POSITION PURPOSE:

In this position, your chief responsibility as a Machine Operator – Level 2 is to ensure your assigned machine runs smoothly, works at capacity without issue, and is appropriately maintained. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas.

Skill and Experience Requirements :

- High School diploma/GED required.

· 2 years of experience as a machine operator.

· Knowledge of various repack machines.

· Understanding of OSHA regulations.

· Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace.

· Effective problem-solving abilities.

· Attention to detail.

· Good written and verbal communication.

· Willingness to work in a cold environment.

· Must have the ability to prioritize tasks.

· Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. unassisted.

· Able to work a flexible schedule.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work in a team environment.

· Ability to multitask.

- Ability to work days, nights, or weekends as scheduled.

- Ability to work overtime.

BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Follow all GMP procedures.

· Follow all Food Safety, Food Quality Safety Policies.

· Monitoring and maintaining repack machinery.

· Setting up machines.

· Overseeing training of new or Junior Machine Operators.

· Reading and following job orders.

· Determining the required materials and commodities.

· Preparing and setting up machines for production.

· Inserting the materials into the machine.

· Performing production inspection of packaging and machine operation duties.

· Carrying out machine operation tests.

· Fully controlling and running the machine.

· Maintaining the machine and troubleshooting arising issues.

· Performing appropriate duties as assigned by management.

· Maintaining a safe and clean workspace.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to perform repetitive movements (i.e., bending, stooping, pushing). The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to move about within a fast-paced environment in/outside the facility.
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ladder for repairs.
• Ability to frequently move, push, or carry items up to 40 lbs.
• Exposed to a cold environment of 32 to 42 degrees. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, observe, and assess surroundings.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The normal working environment requires routine and frequent meeting of critical deadlines.
