Human Resources Generalist

Summary
The HR Generalist supports a wide range of HR functions including employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, recruitment, and performance management. This role is hands‐on, fast‐paced, and central to keeping daily operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers
• Manage timecards and process bi‐weekly payroll (Paylocity)
• Audit payroll each period for accuracy
• Lead new‐hire orientation and support onboarding
• Support performance management, evaluations, and coaching
• Administer benefits, workers’ comp, FMLA, and leave programs
• Manage full‐cycle recruiting: posting, screening, interviewing, offers
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
• Handle employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data
• Assist with training and development initiatives
• Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational changes
• Support sustainability initiatives and employee engagement programs
• Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and HR projects

What You Bring

• Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
• Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)
• Excellent communication, organization, and time‐management skills
• Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Team‐oriented, results‐driven mindset

Education & Experience

• BS/BA in Human Resources or Business Administration
• 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist
