Details - Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a neurological patient focus at a 97-bed hospital - Patient ratio of 1:4-5 - Night shift, 7p-7a, with schedule options of 3x12 or 4x12 hours - Every other weekend required - No on-call responsibilities - Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required - Charting performed in Epic - Parking is provided at no cost Requirements - Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have an active license prior to start - Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Minimum 2 years of RN experience required - Telemetry competency required - SSN and Driver's License required for consideration - 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information - First-time travelers are not accepted for this position - Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler - Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized - All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; no additional PTO will be approved after accepting the assignment - Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date - Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September - Royal blue scrubs are required American Traveler Job ID #P-725853.
