**Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:** - Minimum 2 years of experience, specifically in Neuro ICU - Neuro Intensive Care Unit experience - Strong neuro experience, must be 2 years, no less - Skills in Vents, IV Start, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience - Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH - Must pass EKG testing prior to start **Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience:** - Skills in Arterial line management **Licensure:** - NC or Compact license pending is acceptable for submission **Additional Information:** - Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT first-time travelers - Must have strong neuro critical care background, not just general ICU experience - Floating requirement within/near facility per job description - Charting System: EPIC - Local candidates (within 50 miles) are accepted with a rate difference - Travel experience required Candidates must have extensive experience with stroke patients, as this is one of the largest patient populations in the unit.
