Overview Now Hiring: Orthopedic Medical Coder (Illinois-Based | Hybrid Remote) Remote with 1 in-office day per month; Illinois residency required. A respected healthcare organization near Chicago is seeking a certified Medical Coder with strong experience in Orthopedic coding. This is a direct hire opportunity offering remote flexibility with minimal on-site requirements. What You’ll Do Apply accurate coding to patient records and resolve documentation discrepancies. Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify charge entries and support appeals. Generate audit reports and contribute to coding quality initiatives. Address denials and make necessary coding corrections. What You’ll Bring At least 3 years of coding experience, with a focus on Orthopedics. Strong understanding of coding audits, appeals, and EHR systems. Illinois residency is required.
