Position Overview:

Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking an OBI Case Manager (1449) to deliver trauma-informed care, skills training, and treatment planning to adults (18+) across Amarillo and the surrounding service area of the Texas Panhandle. This role is ideal for human services graduates looking to gain direct clinical experience in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language.
• Travel within the top 21 counties of the Texas Panhandle to provide services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health (BH).
• Provides service coordination, proper assessment, treatment planning, and biopsychosocial case management service interventions to a caseload according to local policies and procedures, TPC Community Standards, Medicaid guidelines, and HCS standards.
• Collaborate with the IDD and BH teams to ensure a cross-systems biopsychosocial approach is used when providing skills training and case management.
• Educate and train community mental health partners, substance use partners, and others involved in mental health on techniques and training resources.
• Direct referrals within the community for appropriate consultations.
• Provide skills training to individuals in the program, parents, and support systems.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments to develop recovery-focused, strength-based treatment plan that is person-centered and includes the individual’s vulnerabilities and triggers from a biopsychosocial perspective.
• Monitor progress towards the desired outcomes identified by the team of each individual assigned, and document using regular monitoring/review tools to submit records in a timely manner and adhere to documentation requirements.
• Contribute and collaborate with the treatment team to share ideas and client progress to ensure identified needs are addressed.
• Comply with the required documentation requirements of OBI services as outlined in the Statement of Work.
• Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns when ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised.

Qualifications & Credentials:

Education & Credentials (Required):

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in social, behavioral, or human service field including, but not limited to, Psychology, Social Work, Medicine, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Counseling, Sociology, Human Development, Gerontology, Educational Psychology, Education, and Criminal Justice for Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) credentialing.
• 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
• At least 18 years of age.

Experience Level Tiering:

• Case Manager I ($40,809.60/yr): Entry Level – No experience required.
• Case Manager II ($43,305.60/yr): Minimum 1 year of case management experience or IDD service coordination.
• Case Manager III ($46,009.60/yr): Minimum 2 years of case management experience or IDD service coordination.
• Graduate-level coursework in a related field may substitute for up to 1 year of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
