Health Unit Coordinator Harborview Medical Center 7E Acute Care Trauma Surgery page is loaded## Health Unit Coordinator Harborview Medical Center 7E Acute Care Trauma Surgeryremote type: No Teleworklocations: Seattle, WAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agotime left to apply: End Date: May 29, 2026 (4 days left to apply)job requisition id: REQ-0000132031**Job Description****Harborview Medical Center - 7E Acute Care Trauma Surgery** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Full-time** **Evenings Health Unit Coordinator.****WORK SCHEDULE*** Full-time Evenings (100% FTE)* Mondays- Fridays 3:00pm- 11:30pm**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*** Conveniently located near public transportation* Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve* Opportunity to provide career growth**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment where multitasking and strong organizational skills are essential* Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including answering phones and triaging call lights* Respond to patient and family inquiries in a timely, courteous, and accurate manner* Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized unit environment for patients, families, and staff* Work closely with the charge RN to help manage patient flow, prioritize unit needs, and coordinate admits, transfers, and discharges* Prepare and compile discharge packets to support timely and safe patient discharges* Coordinate transportation and appropriate paperwork for patient transfers and diagnostic testing* Handle unit paperwork, including patient chart maintenance, consent forms, and other documentation* Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and restock as neededUtilize computer systems such as Epic, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook for communication, documentation, and coordination* Partner with all members of the care team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery**REQUIREMENTS*** High school graduation or equivalent AND* One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience**OR*** An equivalent combination of education/experience**ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER**As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
