Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help support authorized access, observe for policy-related issues, and report maintenance, hazard, and/or suspicious activity concerns.
• Complete routine reports, logs, and incident documentation, and assist with security-related procedures that support daily operations and public-facing services.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
