First Line Electrical Engineering Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a First Line Electrical Engineering Manager in Huntsville, AL. This manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution. You will be a technical leader, coach, and mentor, responsible for developing your team's skills and expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of program requirements. Position Responsibilities: Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, and continuous ongoing feedback Coordinating employee recruitment, selection, and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition, and disciplinary actions Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, and promoting customer focus Utilizing your strong knowledge in circuit card design experience to drive technical excellence. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Masters is preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education Experience with Design Assurance process for circuit card designs and/or FPGAs Experience in generating BOEs Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams - Full Lifecycle Development Experience Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Active Secret Clearance Earned Value Management Experience Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, employee development and mentoring Proposal Development Experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) Development Process Improvement and Affordability experience Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking Strong Interpersonal Skills Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
