Emergency Room Nurse

Job Summary As the Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental standards and state practice regulations. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” You will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, promote effective pain management, perform procedures and monitoring as ordered, document care, respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate and resolve patient needs, and teach patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and lifestyle changes. You will also prepare patients and families for future self‑management. Qualifications At least 1 year of RN experience. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Registered Nurse credential. Associate Degree in Nursing.
