We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team. Position Overview As a Pediatric Orthodontic Dental Assistant at West Valley Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, you will play a crucial role in assisting our orthodontists in providing exceptional care to our pediatric patients. Your primary responsibilities will include working closely with young patients, helping with orthodontic procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and offering a friendly and comforting atmosphere to ensure a positive experience for our young clientele. Key Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during dental procedures and treatments.- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for orthodontic procedures. Sterilize and maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment. Take digital impressions, X-rays, and photographs as needed. Provide education and instructions to pediatric patients and their parents on proper orthodontic care and hygiene Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Assist with fitting and adjusting orthodontic appliances, such as braces and retainers Monitor and track patient progress Assist with scheduling and appointment coordination Help maintain a welcoming and child-friendly atmosphere in the office. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Successful completion of an accredited dental assisting program Prior experience working in a pediatric dental or orthodontic practice is preferred Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and equipment Excellent communication skills, especially with children and adolescents Empathetic and compassionate nature Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and sterile environment Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
