An opportunity has arisen to join a newly established College of Veterinary Medicine in the US, offering the chance to be part of a founding faculty team. This is a forward-looking academic environment where faculty will contribute to the development and delivery of a modern, student-centred veterinary curriculum, with genuine involvement in shaping course structure, content, and assessment from the ground up.

This role would suit veterinarians or scientists with a DVM and/or PhD, typically with several years of post-graduate experience, and ideally with exposure to teaching, research, or academic environments. Board eligibility or certification is preferred, and a strong interest or background in Immunology research would be highly valued.
You will be responsible for delivering teaching within Veterinary Immunology and related components of the Veterinary Biomedical Sciences curriculum. This includes preparing and delivering lectures, leading small group and interactive learning sessions, and contributing to the development and ongoing refinement of course materials. A key aspect of the role involves designing and reviewing assessment content, including exam questions, to ensure academic rigour and clinical relevance.

Alongside teaching responsibilities, you will be actively involved in research and scholarly activity. Areas of emphasis within the college include One Health, zoonotic disease, wildlife and conservation medicine, climate change, and public health. You will be expected to develop and maintain an independent and/or collaborative research programme, with opportunities to involve veterinary students in research projects where appropriate. Cross-departmental collaboration is encouraged, particularly where immunology interfaces with broader biomedical and clinical disciplines.

In addition to teaching and research, the role includes participation in wider academic responsibilities such as faculty meetings, curriculum development discussions, student mentoring, departmental evaluations, and engagement in university committees as the programme continues to grow.

Salary & Benefits

$149,000 – $196,000+ depending on experience, qualifications, and faculty rank, with relocation assistance available.
