IT Product Owner I

A Day In The Life The IT Product Owner I is a hands‑on role that oversees the development and maintenance of assigned corporate, operations and/or dealer applications under the guidance of senior team members. Responsibilities include gathering business requirements, supporting backlog management, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver software solutions aligned with business needs. This IT Product Owner role is with GST’s Integrations Team and blends technical delivery with strong relationship‑building. In addition to driving technical outcomes, the role plays a key part in connecting people and systems, fostering collaboration between technical and business teams. A major focus will be on facilitating clear, effective communication to ensure alignment and shared success across all stakeholders. As a IT Product Owner I you will: Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders. Support backlog management by helping to organize, prioritize, and track development tasks. Work closely with developers, testers, and business analysts to understand technical solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives. Assist in writing user stories and acceptance criteria for product enhancements. Conduct basic testing and validation of product features to ensure business needs are met. Provide basic application support, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalating complex problems. Learn and document business processes related to parts operations applications. Support release and patch management activities. Maintain clear communication with cross‑functional teams and business stakeholders. What We Need From You Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 2-4 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or related IT roles. Experience with .NET, Boomi, backend architecture or SAP Preferred. Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Familiarity with IT product development and software lifecycle processes. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and learn in a fast‑paced environment. Strong organizational skills and willingness to take initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational and problem‑solving skills. Strong business acumen. Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data. Knowledge of various operating systems and platforms. Problem solving and analytical skills. Physical and Environmental Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
