Position Overview As Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and leading our wood-fired pizza program—from dough to finished pie. This is a hands‑on role for a true craftsperson who values authenticity, consistency, and hospitality. What We’re Looking For A culinarian who takes pride in the craft of pizza making Someone who thrives in a visible, member-facing role A self‑starter who wants to build something special from the ground up Energy, personality, and a genuine love for engaging with guests Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of the pizza program, including menu development and execution Prepare and manage all dough production, fermentation, and scaling Hand‑stretch, top, and fire pizzas in a high-heat wood‑burning oven Maintain exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation standards Engage with members during service— this is an interactive, guest-facing role Manage mise en place, ingredient sourcing, and inventory for the program Uphold cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team on seasonal features and specials Requirements Qualifications Proven experience crafting hand‑made pizzas from scratch (dough through bake) Strong understanding of fermentation, hydration, and flour types Experience working with wood‑fired or high‑temperature ovens preferred Passion for artisanal food and traditional techniques Comfortable working in an outdoorkitchen environment Strong communication skills and a hospitality‑driven mindset Ability to work independently and take ownership of a program Requirements Experience in a pizza kitchen environment, preferably 2+ years Ability to lift 25 pounds Ability to stand for long periods Ability to move pizza oven equipment and cart, approximately 200 pounds Work in heat‑related environment, outdoor natural elements.
