Travel RN – Emergency Department (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information throughout each visit
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
• Demonstrate patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and consistent patient communication and board updates
• Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing needs
• Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across day and night shifts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• Active RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback; flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
