Job Title: Powder Coater Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Powder Coater to clean, mask, plug, and apply powder coating to metal parts using a spray gun. This role involves hanging and unhanging parts to pass through an automated washer and oven/dryer. The candidate will be required to wear full paint gear, a fitted respirator, and a hood while working in the spray booth. After drying, you will remove plugs and tape, and package the parts for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, mask, and plug metal parts before powder coating.

• Use a spray gun to apply powder coating in a paint booth.

• Hang and unhang parts for processing through an automated washer and dryer.

• Wear full protective gear including a fitted respirator and hood in the spray booth.

• Remove plugs and tape from dried parts and prepare them for shipment.

• Package and wrap finished products for delivery.

Essential Skills

• Attention to detail in painting and coating processes.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs above the head for hanging parts.

• Strong commitment to quality workmanship.

• Use of a respirator is required.

• Ability to spray from various positions, including lying down and on hands and knees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior production or manufacturing experience preferred.

• No prior powder coating experience required.

Work Environment

The work environment is a sheet metal manufacturing shop where powder coaters will work next to an oven, getting very dirty and hot. The role requires standing, bending, and working with hand tools for extended periods, emphasizing manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precision assembly work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liberty Lake, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
