Job Description
The Idaho Industrial Commission is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Claims Specialist to support claims-related operations. The selected candidate will assist with processing medical bills, maintaining claim documentation, and communicating with providers and victims while ensuring compliance with established procedures and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Scan and log medical bills into the IRIS system.
Contact medical providers to request missing documentation or additional claim details.
Route bills and supporting documentation to Claims Examiners for payment processing.
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely claim handling.
Communicate professionally with victims, providers, and internal teams via phone and email.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Follow established claims processing procedures and organizational guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable communicating with victims and medical providers.
Ability to work effectively with data systems and confidential records.
Ability to follow established workflows and procedures.
Professional and customer-service-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with medical bill processing and payment review.
Knowledge of CMS-1500 and UB-04 billing forms.
Ability to read and understand Explanations of Benefits (EOBs).
Familiarity with reviewing medical records and claim documentation.
Additional Requirements
All candidates must successfully pass the State of Idaho Background Check due to the sensitive nature of the materials handled within CVCP.
