Apprentice Plumber

1 Tom Plumber is a professional, service-focused emergency drain clearing, water damage mitigation, and plumbing service company providing services to both commercial and residential properties. Position Purpose Apprentice Plumbers/Helpers assist lead technicians in performing plumbing and drain-related tasks, including diagnosis, repair, and installations. This is a hands‑on role with a focus on learning, safety, and customer service. Schedule Start time: 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday (Some overtime or weekend hours may occasionally be required) Reports to General Manager / Lead Technician Responsibilities Customer Support Assist lead plumber on service calls and interact with customers professionally. Help maintain a clean and respectful job site environment. Technical Support drain cleaning, plumbing repairs, and installations. Handle tools and materials under the supervision of a licensed plumber. Assist in diagnosing plumbing issues and in executing solutions. Administrative Maintain tools and ensure truck inventory is stocked and organized. Complete basic documentation such as timesheets and work summaries. Adhere to safety protocols and building codes under supervision. Other Attend company meetings and training sessions regularly. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Learn and grow into increased responsibilities with time. Qualifications Minimum one (1) year experience in plumbing or drain-related work required Clean and valid driver’s license preferred Eagerness to learn and grow in the trade Good communication and teamwork skills High integrity and work ethic Physical Requirements Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying temperatures Capable of climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods Competencies for Success Willingness to learn and take direction Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset Strong work ethic and reliability This job detail does not imply any written or verbal contract.
