Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location: Lubbock, TX
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Schedule: 5×8 hours | 40 hours/week

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong orthopedic and perioperative experience, including Ortho Mako, total joint replacement, gynecological, and sports medicine procedures .

The position requires flexibility to float between units and participate in scheduled on-call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room setting, with an expected 1:1 patient ratio .
• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout surgical procedures.
• Float between units as needed to support patient-care requirements.
• Participate in on-call coverage, including weekday nights, weekends, and holidays .
• Support orthopedic, gynecological, and sports medicine procedures.
• Assist with Ortho Mako procedures and total joint replacement cases.
• Maintain patient safety and collaborate effectively with surgeons and the multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Follow established policies and standards related to infection prevention, patient care, and surgical safety.
• Respond appropriately to changing patient needs in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license .
• Previous Operating Room/perioperative nursing experience .
• Ortho Mako experience required.
• Gynecology (GYN) procedure experience required.
• Sports Medicine experience required.
• Orthopedic Total Joint experience required.
• Ability to work 5×8-hour day shifts .
• Must be available for required on-call coverage .
• Willingness and ability to float between units as needed.
• 48-hour schedules are not approved.
• Must be available for an interview and provide required submission information and professional references.
