Job Title: 4th grade -Elementary Teacher

Reports to: Elementary School Principal

We are seeking a 4th grade teacher who is prepared to launch each student's school experience on a positive note by building an engaging and creative classroom, preparing students in the foundations of ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies to apply these concepts to real-world situations.


Primary Responsibilities

• Create an engaging environment that is safe, age-appropriate, conducive to learning, encourages student interest, and maintains standards of behavior
• Use student data to drive instruction using the MTSS framework to deliver district-approved curriculum using hands-on learning and one-to-one technology
• Guide learning by establishing objectives for lessons, units, and projects, maintain records of progress, and adjust instruction accordingly to maximize student learning
• Broaden student interest and understanding of social and physical environments through field trips, large group discussions, play acting, and other activities
• Collaborate with colleagues in focused learning teams, work together with administration, and communicate with students and parents to further educational goals
• Contribute in other ways as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent, or their designee

A qualified candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Education
• Michigan teaching certification with endorsements in relevant subject areas
• LETRS training (preferred), familiarity with the Science of Reading
