A premier global law firm is seeking an Associate of your level of experience to join its Bankruptcy practice in Chicago.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-profile restructuring and insolvency matters involving financially distressed companies, creditors, investors and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and refine pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other court filings in bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 proceedings.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on complex bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring issues arising under federal and state law.
• Support the development and execution of restructuring strategies, plans of reorganization, and related disclosure materials.
• Collaborate closely with clients, financial advisors, experts and other professionals on complex restructuring and insolvency engagements.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in bankruptcy, financial restructuring, insolvency, commercial litigation, or a related practice area.
• Prior exposure to Chapter 11 cases, restructuring transactions, insolvency proceedings, or related matters is strongly preferred.
• Solid foundation in commercial law concepts and a strong interest in restructuring and distressed situations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive compensation package with a base salary ranging from $235,000 to $310,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
