Storefront Shop Fabricator

LMG Glass & Mirror is looking for an experienced Storefront Shop Fabricator to join our team in the Orlando area. We are seeking someone who has hands-on experience fabricating commercial aluminum storefront, doors, frames, and related glazing systems.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, able to read shop drawings, and understands how to fabricate material accurately and efficiently for commercial glass and glazing projects.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate aluminum storefront frames, doors, and related components
• Cut, drill, notch, punch, and prep aluminum according to shop drawings
• Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and cut sheets
• Operate saws, drills, punches, and other fabrication equipment
• Use RhinoFab or similar fabrication equipment/software
• Prep material for hardware including closers, locks, panic devices, hinges, and thresholds
• Verify dimensions and fabrication requirements before cutting material
• Organize fabricated material by project and opening
• Perform quality-control checks before material leaves the shop
• Coordinate with the Shop Manager, Project Managers, and field crews when questions arise
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fabrication area
• Help load, stage, and prepare material for delivery when needed
• Identify fabrication issues before they become field problems

Qualifications

• Previous experience fabricating commercial aluminum storefront systems
• Ability to read and understand commercial glazing shop drawings
• Experience with systems from manufacturers such as Kawneer, YKK, Oldcastle/OBE, Coral, or similar
• Experience with RhinoFab is strongly preferred
• Experience fabricating commercial entrance doors and hardware preparation is preferred
• Ability to accurately use tape measures and fabrication tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to safely lift and handle aluminum, glass-related materials, and shop equipment

This is not an entry-level position. We are specifically looking for someone with commercial storefront fabrication experience who can contribute quickly and become an important part of our growing team.
