Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Surgery (Days) Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Days, 12 hours with variable start times (typically between 5am-6pm). Job Description The Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Surgery unit has basic knowledge of operative procedures and is responsible for assessing and implementing care for patients undergoing surgery. Responsibilities Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care. Provides direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms. Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and collaborates with team members to update/revise it as needed. Processes physician orders and performs prescribed care accurately and in a timely manner. Follows up on medication changes and order clarifications. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 2+ years of RN experience - Required Pre/Post Operative experience - Required PACU experience - Required Epic EMR experience - Preferred Active Michigan RN License - Required Active American Heart Association BLS - Required Active American Heart Association ACLS - Required Skills checklist current to the specialty (Ambulatory) - Required 2 Supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years - Required Why ARMStaffing?
