Lead Computed Tomography DRT

Duties

Functions as a Lead Computed Tomography DRT for a group of advanced DRTs.

Provides a full range of general Computed Tomography treatment/scans/procedures, has a broad knowledge of the different modalities within the diagnostic radiologic area and is accountable to the next higher-level Section Supervisor.

Coordinates and directs the work of lower grade technologists when examinations/procedures require assistance.

Organizes staff work assignments, including lunch and break rotations.

Directs all section patient schedules in a manner to optimize workflow while maintaining flexibility for emergency cases, rearranging patients to accommodate these requests, prioritizing scheduled patients as well as emergency patients.

Trains new technologists and participates in the evaluation of new employees. Recommends, coordinates, and evaluates and adjusts for new or modified procedures/protocols.

Instruct other technologists on specialized tasks and new/modified procedures and policies and ensure their compliance and understanding.

Performs other duties assigned.

Work Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00 pm with rotating holidays

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.

Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
