What You Will Do

• Perform detailed patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and thorough medical history reviews
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting diagnostic imaging and lab results
• Work collaboratively with surgeons in developing and implementing personalized surgical treatment plans
• Provide crucial intraoperative assistance by preparing surgical environments, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently passing surgical instruments throughout procedures
• Extend excellent pre- and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, managing wound care, planning for discharge, and educating patients and families

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferably, completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgery

Certifications Required

• Current and valid PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant in Washington D.C.
