Candidates will operate CT scanners and related equipment under the supervision of a radiologist, performing imaging procedures to support diagnosis and treatment. The role may also be considered for higher levels (CT Technologist II) based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Job Duties Provides technical expertise to operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire images for use by the radiologist in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Maintains knowledge of different CT systems at multiple locations. Maintains protocols based on ImageGently Guidelines and a dose‑monitoring program that notifies the user when a scan exceeds preset levels. Maintains knowledge of all major organ and vascular systems for thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neuro, and musculoskeletal imaging. Obtains CT images according to established protocols, ensuring patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, shielding, and selection of proper technical factors. Performs CT interventional procedures and advanced CTA studies such as TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging. Applies pharmacology knowledge to obtain lab results prior to scheduled exams. Uses physiological and physical principles to produce quality scans under suboptimal conditions. Interprets technical factors to improve scan quality or speed. Education Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology. Certification(s) and License(s) Certified Radiology Technologist within 12 months, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
