Lead Network Engineer

Senior Network EngineerMidFirst Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to support and evolve the enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational support of complex networking environments, with a strong emphasis on Cisco and Fortinet technologies.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in routing, switching, and modern network architectures, including SD-WAN, SASE, and VXLAN, and will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of the bank's network environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, and remote locationsEngineer and support Cisco-based routing and switching environments (LAN/WAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)Deploy and manage Fortinet security and network platforms, including firewalls and SD-WAN solutionsLead and support initiatives involving SASE architectures, Zero Trust networking, and cloud connectivityDesign and implement VXLAN/EVPN-based network segmentation and data center fabricsTroubleshoot and resolve complex network performance and availability issues across the enterpriseCollaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure and resilient connectivityEvaluate, recommend, and implement new networking technologies aligned to enterprise strategyDevelop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational proceduresProvide on-call support and participate in incident response as requiredRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure rolesCisco CCNP or CCDP required, CCIE/CCDE preferred, or Fortinet NSE 5 or higher, NSE 7 or higher preferredAdvanced knowledge of Cisco networking platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR)Hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, Fortiswitch, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)Strong expertise in:Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)Switching technologies (VLANs, STP, port-channeling)Network security and segmentation principlesExperience with SD-WAN deployments and operationsWorking knowledge of SASE concepts and cloud-integrated networking modelsExperience with VXLAN/EVPN architectures in data center environmentsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills across layered network environmentsExcellent communication and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsCisco certifications (CCDP or CCIE)Fortinet NSE certifications (NSE 7 or higher or FCX)Experience in financial services or regulated environmentsExposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid network architecturesExperience with automation or scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar)Why Join MidFirst BankStable, enterprise-scale environment with modern network transformation initiativesDirect impact on strategic initiatives such as SASE, VXLAN, and network modernizationCollaborative IT and cybersecurity leadership environmentCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package*This is an on-site position* Must reside within the market area to be considered.*Position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant US based experience.#LI-DNIEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
