Laboratory Technician

Overview For over 40 years, Fairfax Cryobank, a division of GIVF, has provided the highest quality donor sperm that has led to the creation of many happy healthy families. Fairfax Cryobank serves clients nationwide and around the globe. Responsibilities We are seeking a hardworking, self-motivated laboratory technician at our Miami, FL location. This is a full-time position (Monday – Friday). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing semen cryopreservation procedures, preparing semen samples for inseminations on-site, distributing samples to clinics and patients, interacting with donors and patients, and other administrative duties. This is an FDA-regulated commercial sperm bank and clinic where attention to detail is critical. A sense of humor, computer skills, strong work ethic, excellent command of written and spoken English, ability to follow written instructions, and a willingness to learn are mandatory. Training will be provided. This is a great foundation for a career in reproductive health and infertility. Qualifications Requirements: Must have a B.S. in biology or related science A minimum of 1 year of laboratory bench experience is preferred Experience in a fertility-related environment would be advantageous Phlebotomy-certified and/or Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred Must be able to lift 35 lbs. as part of daily duties and work well in a team environment Additional Information / Benefits Additional Information: Salary commensurate with experience Technicians will receive a bonus when they complete their training interview and a retention bonus on their first and second anniversary dates, after which they will be eligible for quarterly performance bonuses.
