Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room, providing high-quality, safe perioperative care in a general surgery setting. Responsibilities Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking. Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs, including cultural considerations. Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, ensuring patient goals guide care plans. Coordinate safe and quality care with interdisciplinary teams, documenting accurately and fostering respectful collaboration. Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance to promote safe practices. Mentor and serve as a preceptor for other nurses and staff, supporting professional development. Promote evidence-based practice, adhere to organizational policies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Contribute to protocol development, resource management, and optimal care delivery across the continuum. Qualifications & Skills: Associates or Bachelor's Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred). Valid RN license (single or multi-state compact). BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required upon hire. Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
