Pay rate: $30.00 - $35.00/hr

Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion

Shift: (Mon - Fri) 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Job Description:

Support HR operations for an assigned business unit/plant location and partner with business leaders and employees on employee relations, performance management, talent development, workforce planning, engagement, organizational development, and HR compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the HR Business Partner for assigned company locations and act as a liaison between Operations and HR to align HR services with business needs.

• Partner with senior leadership and business managers on HR, organizational development, leadership development, and workforce-related matters.

• Support business objectives by identifying and building organizational capabilities, structures, processes, and workforce requirements.

• Manage employee relations activities, including complex employee issues, investigations, conflict resolution, and proactive employee engagement.

• Provide guidance on employment laws, HR policies, practices, and federal/state regulations.

• Ensure consistent application of corporate and plant HR policies, practices, and programs.

• Research and recommend HR solutions, process improvements, and policy changes aligned with company strategy and culture.

• Champion talent management and performance management processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and fair employee assessments.

• Support employee development, training, orientation, and leadership development programs.

• Assist managers with talent pipeline planning, succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational restructuring.

• Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to develop effective HR solutions, programs, and policies.

• Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of training programs.

• Promote safety and health awareness through communications, training, and company programs.

• Audit plant practices and records to ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state OSHA requirements.

• Champion the Strategic Labor Relations Plan for the facility.

• Communicate HR programs and policies to employees and management and address related questions.

• Maintain knowledge of existing and proposed federal/state laws and regulations affecting HR management.

• Identify workforce and organizational trends that may impact business objectives and operational resources.

• Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, working relationships, productivity, credibility, and retention.

• Manage HR projects and participate in corporate, functional, and cross-functional HR initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.

• 3 5+ years of HR/Employee Relations experience.

• Strong employee relations, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Experience supporting managers and business leaders.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and regulations.

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, reporting, and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HR experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, production, or retail environments.

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification.

• Experience with Workday or other HRIS platforms.

• Experience with talent management, training & development, and recruiting.

Skills:

• Tech Savvy: Ability to learn new systems; HRIS experience, preferably Workday.

• Google Workspace: Intermediate skills with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.

• Flexibility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities and plans may change.

• Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple competing priorities accurately, efficiently, and on time.
