Senior Sales Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our high-caliber Sales Org! As a Sales Engineer , you partner with our Account Executives, collaborate with Product, and cross-functionally work with Engineering & Customer Success to drive Sales cycles with existing & future customers. The ideal Sales Engineering candidate brings a strong SaaS technical foundation paired with sharp Sales competencies needed for revenue generation. Our vertical-agnostic platform means no two days are the same, giving seasoned Sales Engineers a rare chance to stretch their skills across industries, tackle diverse challenges, and continuously elevate their craft. Important: This is a hybrid role. Core in-office days in our NYC (Tribeca) co-working space are Tuesdays-Thursdays, and it is expected that team members will be in the office at least 2 days per week during core days. What you'll be doing Driving technical discovery to align prospect goals with the Staffbase solution. Work with paired Account Executives to collaborate, build, and deliver engaging value presentations to prospects. Identifying use cases, building & communicating value through deep dive product evaluations. Lead technical evaluation of the Staffbase platform with customer technical experts, navigating through their policies, limitations, & techstack to ensure ‘fit’. Positioning the Staffbase solution in its best light when crafting RFP responses by leveraging thorough knowledge of the platform’s capabilities & limitations. Staying current with the evolving Employee Experience landscape, competitive intelligence & changing needs of organizations. What you need to be successful Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Science, Information Systems, Business Engineering, or similar 4-5 years of experience in a similar role (SaaS pre-sales/solutions engineering/solutions consulting) Business fluency in English is required Strong interest (and ideally experience) in the Digital workplace, Communication, and/or Employee Experience verticals Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentations) with a focus on simplifying complex narratives through the art of storytelling Strong understanding of web development methodologies, plus hands‑on experience with REST APIs, User Authentication protocols (SAML, OIDC), as well as a high-level understanding of SDKs You enjoy communicating and working with customers directly You bring the ability to quickly understand technical concepts and effectively communicate them to technical and non‑technical people What you'll get Competitive Compensation - we offer attractive salary packages, including LTIP (unit-based Long Term Incentive Plan) Flexibility - we offer flexible working time models and the option of hybrid work, and support this with a yearly flex work allowance of $1608 Recharge - with 31 vacation days annually (incl. one floating holiday), plus pro rata fully paid Fridays off during August Support - we’re offering a 401(k) plan with company match and health plans, including dental & vision, as well as competitive Paid Parental Leave to support new parents Volunteer Day - you’ll get one day off per year for supporting a social project In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Staffbase's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $150,000 - $165,000 base salary per year. Other rewards may include commissions and program-specific awards.
