Details Work in a 23-bed 6 East Ortho/Trauma unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center Patient ratios of 1:4 and 1:5 with unit secretary and PCT support Care for post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients, trauma patients, and occasional neuro overflow cases Uses traction, fixators, and cooling equipment Charting is done in Meditech Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts including three weekend shifts per schedule period Night shift, 7p-7a Floating required to other Med/Surg level units including General MS, Nephrology, and Neuro/Trauma, with contract staff floating first Requirements Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required Ortho experience required Telemetry experience required NIH Stroke Certification helpful US SSN and DOB required for consideration Two professional references required for Missouri assignments No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct patient care including bedside shift report and hourly rounding Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-747847.
