Lead Machine Operator (Injection Molding)
Location: Brea, CA
Position: Lead Machine Operator
Department: Manufacturing
Summary
The Lead Machine Operator is responsible for overseeing daily production, supporting machine operators, ensuring quality standards are met, and operating injection molding equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
- Train and support machine operators
- Assign operators based on production needs
- Monitor production output and quality
- Inspect parts for defects and ensure quality standards are met
- Operate injection molding machines and related equipment
- Meet production goals and cycle times
- Complete production logs and documentation accurately
- Package finished products as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Provide machine coverage during breaks and lunches
- Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Assist with cross-training and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Previous injection molding machine operating experience required
- Prior lead or team lead experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
- Stand for extended periods
- Frequently lift up to 15 lbs.
- Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and machine operation
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment
- Moderate noise levels
- Exposure to industrial machinery and equipment
Pay Rate: $20-$25 per hour
Schedule: 6am-2:30pm
