Junior Financial Analyst

A growing Carlsbad company is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst who is ready to take the next step beyond school, an internship, or an accounting support role. This is an opportunity to build a strong foundation in corporate finance while working alongside experienced Finance and Accounting professionals.You’ll be involved in financial reporting, budgeting, expense analysis, and Excel-based reporting, making this a great role for someone who wants exposure to multiple areas of finance.Responsibilities:Assist with monthly financial reportingPrepare recurring Excel reports and financial schedulesCompare actual results to budget and forecastResearch revenue and expense variancesMaintain financial reporting files and supporting schedulesTrack departmental spending and operating expensesAssist with budgeting and forecastingGather financial information from Accounting and OperationsPerform data validation and identify discrepanciesAssist with month-end reporting activitiesMaintain basic financial models and templatesPrepare charts, summaries, and presentations for managementSupport ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
