SR1 CPSA is Mississippi’s first and only STEM-focused college preparatory charter school — a tuition-free public school where every scholar gets rigorous academics, hands-on STEM, and enrichment that rivals the best private schools. Our Scholars Are Already Setting the Standard

• 88% of our 3rd graders passed the Mississippi ELA reading assessment on their first attempt — more than 10 points above the 2025 statewide average of 77.3%.
• Close to 75% of our kindergartners finished the year reading at or above benchmark.

What We’re Building Next

Next year we launch K–4 Vanguard Scholars with one bold goal: get as close to 100% mastery in literacy and math as possible — paired with music, contemporary dance, and athletics like golf that develop the whole child.

Open Roles

• K–4 Educators (2 openings) — lead a classroom and teach toward mastery in literacy and math with a collaborative team behind you.
• School Counselor — nurture the social-emotional growth, character, and well-being that help every scholar thrive.
• English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher — help multilingual scholars excel academically while honoring their language and culture.
• Special Education (SPED) Teacher — design individualized support and services so every scholar can reach mastery.
• STEM & College Preparatory Creative Educator — drive our hands-on, “Learning by Doing” STEM and college-prep program.
• Transportation Drivers (2 openings) — the first and last faces our scholars see each day, and a vital first and last line of the academic and social support that shapes our students.

Current college students studying education are encouraged to apply — gain real classroom experience and get paid for it.

Compensation & Culture

We offer pay averaging about 2% above comparable roles in our area. Please note that we do not currently participate in PERS (Mississippi’s Public Employees’ Retirement System).
