Pediatrician

The Pediatrician will conduct thorough examinations, diagnose illness, prescribe medications, administer vaccines, and provides guidance to parents regarding their child’s health, development, and well-being. The Pediatrician will play a crucial role in monitoring and promoting the overall health and normal physical development of newborns, young children, and adolescents. The Pediatrician may oversee mid-level providers administering pediatric services. Specific Responsibilities Facilitating regular meetings with the pediatric providers and pediatric clinical leadership Regular review of quality metrics related to pediatric medical care at HCCH Provision of primary care and urgent care for a panel of pediatric patients at HCCH Examination and treatment of patients in the office Referral of patients for specialist services, as needed Assistance with triage of pediatric patients Maintenance of electronic medical records Development of cooperative arrangements with other pediatric health providers and subspecialist Participation in community outreach events related to pediatrics Promotion of goodwill and a positive work environment between HCCH employees Maintenance of respectful and open dialogue with HCCH leadership Promote the rights and needs of children's health Provide specialized care for complex health issues Have in-depth knowledge of children's health Have excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities Have effective communication skills Have patience and a caring demeanor Requirements MD or DO degree Completion of an accredited residency program in pediatrics Board certification in Pediatrics Prior experience working with an electronic medical record system.
