About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Finance to serve as the senior financial leader for its flagship adult academic medical center. The successful candidate will be a strategic and collaborative executive, responsible for ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the organization's clinical mission. This role involves providing financial leadership across hospital operations, service lines, budgeting, performance management, and operational improvement initiatives. The VP will also be a key partner in achieving the company's strategic, operational, quality, and financial objectives, while upholding a commitment to exceptional patient care, innovation, education, and research. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Finance include serving as the principal finance partner to hospital leadership, leading the development and management of the annual operating budget, and overseeing financial performance for the hospital and key clinical service lines. The role requires a deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement, financial management, and a proven ability to lead transformational change. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a minimum of 10 years' progressive healthcare finance leadership experience, and a strong background in hospital operations finance within a complex health system environment. A Master's degree and relevant professional certification are preferred. The VP will also be responsible for fostering a culture of stewardship, accountability, and transparency, and for leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
