Position Overview

This role involves working in a fast-paced inpatient surgical unit, focusing on providing high-quality patient care for individuals undergoing various surgical procedures. The position requires previous surgical experience, as well as a willingness to float to other units as necessary.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Experience and Qualifications

• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• First-Timers: Accepted
• Certifications Required: BLS
• Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
• Patient Ratio Experience: 6 patients
• Charting System Experience: Preferred (Meditech)

Patient Care Details

• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 18 patients
• Number of Beds: 24
• Common Diagnoses: General Surgery, Abdominal Surgery, Urological Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Hysterectomy, Mastectomy, Spine Surgery, Bariatric Surgery
• Special Procedures: Accepts pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above, depending on the surgical procedure

• Starting and Maintaining IVs

Orientation and Compliance

General orientation occurs every other Monday, with flexible start dates for allied and other professions.

Fit testing is required, and candidates must be compliant with health policies concerning THC and other substances.
