Purchasing Coordinator - Manufacturing (Piqua)

Job Title

You will play a key role in maintaining inventory levels for a custom manufacturing company having long production cycle times of up to six months for producing large equipment. This position is one of two Buyers in the department that reports to the Purchasing Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Order materials / products (castings, steel, electrical and hydraulic components, gears, bearings, and machined fabrications), goods, and services
• Read blueprints in order to give specifications on fabrications when ordering machined parts
• Enter details of BOMs provided by the engineering department
• Generate purchasing orders / RFQs
• Process order requisitions by working with vendors to obtain product / service details for pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and optimal best deals
• Discuss defective or unacceptable goods / services with vendors and determine corrective action
• Maintain supplier relations to meet purchasing requirements
• Approve invoices for payment
• Maintain accurate documentation records of transactions, purchase orders, and invoices

Requirements

Purchasing experience in Manufacturing

• Purchasing / ordering of: castings, machined parts, steel, electrical / hydraulic components, gears, bearings, goods, services, etc.
