Responsibilities Develop and evaluate safety-critical, human rated GN&C flight software Develop, integrate, and test new GN&C algorithms Develop, integrate, and test new algorithms for evaluation of vehicle and mission performance Develop, integrate, and test new algorithms for trajectory optimizations Provide recommendations for improvements in design and software development processes Perform other duties as required Qualifications Requisition Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience with Kalman filters Experience with development of modeling spacecraft systems performance Knowledge in the development of GN&C algorithms and spacecraft system analysis Experience with development and analysis of 6 DOF algorithms and simulations Experience with orbital mechanics and GN&C principles Experience with design, verification, testing, and operation of GN&C software Experience with LINUX, Python, MATLAB, Simulink, and C/C++ Experience with Git/GitLab version control Experience with the development of space system requirements and documents Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision. Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills Ability to work in a team environment consisting of NASA civil servants and contractor employees. Experience with Microsoft Office products Must reside in a HUBZone or be willing to relocate to a HUBZone Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning Experience with safety-critical, human-rated embedded software development Experience with Object oriented software development Experience with Agile software development Experience with spacecraft rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking Familiarity with spacecraft docking systems Working knowledge of NASA, JSC, and ISS standard practices and requirements (including safety) Experience with NASA flight operations and procedures Familiarity with NASA/JSC documentation databases and SharePoint sites Experience with the NASA Trick simulation architecture and JEOD (JSC Engineering Orbital Dynamics) Benefits GCS health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
