FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary
Independently performs moderately complex machining operations from setup through production completion. Interprets drawings and work instructions, maintains dimensional accuracy and quality standards, troubleshoots machining issues, and works with Programming and Engineering as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Select, set up, and operate CNC and/or manual machines, tooling, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, specifications, and written or verbal instructions.
• Align fixtures, set cutting tools, and establish machine setups for new and repeat production runs.
• Produce first-part details and support First Article Inspection (FAI) verification.
• Inspect finished parts using appropriate measuring and inspection tools to verify dimensional and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and production issues and provide feedback to Programming or Engineering.
• Manufacture or modify tooling and recommend manufacturing-process improvements as needed.
• Maintain equipment, tooling, work areas, and company assets in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
• Provide instruction to operators on machine operation, part loading/unloading, and inspection practices as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of machining experience .
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and performing machine setup, machining, and inspection.
• Experience with CNC and/or manual equipment such as DMG MORI, HAAS, mills, lathes, routers, waterjets, saws, brake presses, shears, or similar equipment.
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Siemens, CELOS, Heidenhain, or similar.
• Proficient with hand tools, machining tools, and precision inspection equipment.
• Working knowledge of machining mathematics, basic trigonometry, and English/metric measurement and conversions.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, quality, and workmanship skills.
• Successful completion of required pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Physical Demands, Travel & Work Environment
Regularly requires extended standing, walking, use of hands, and operation of production equipment. Occasional sitting, reaching, lifting, and bending are required, along with close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Domestic or international travel may occasionally be required.
