Human Resources Generalist

Review and approve candidates in alignment with company policies and client-specific requirements Initiate, submit, and track background checks; review results and escalat"e issues as appropriate Coordinate and monitor language proficiency assessments to ensure timely completion and proper documentation Manage new hire onboarding within Paycor, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity Complete and verify Form I-9 documentation in full compliance with federal regulations Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and onboarding files Act as a primary point of contact for candidates and internal stakeholders throughout the onboarding process Partner closely with HR and recruiting teams to support seamless transitions and on-time start dates Provide administrative support for additional HR tasks and special projects as needed What We’re Looking For: 1–3 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative support roles preferred Working knowledge of background checks, onboarding processes, and Form I-9 verification strongly preferred Experience with HRIS platforms Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general HR systems Strong follow-through, time management, and prioritization skills Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders Process-oriented with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement About Dawson Dawson is a trusted staffing partner in Central Ohio.
